About Evgenia

Evgenia is a Solicitor of England and Wales, a registered lawyer with the Piraeus Bar, and an Associate Member of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII). She specialises in shipping law and marine insurance claims, bringing a strong combination of legal expertise and industry experience.

She began her career in the shipping industry in Piraeus, initially working in a shipping agency before moving to a shipowning company operating geared bulk carrier vessels, where she was involved in the day-to-day operational aspects and coordinated and oversaw all operational matters of the Greek office.

In 2010, Evgenia relocated to London to further her academic and professional development. During her LLM in Maritime Law, she achieved top marks in two modules and secured an internship with a reputable shipping law firm in the City. She subsequently worked for nearly eight years at a leading Lloyd’s of London syndicate as a Senior Marine Claims Handler, handling complex marine insurance claims. She then completed her Training Contract with the same law firm and qualified as a Solicitor of England and Wales in March 2023.

Following her qualification, she returned to Greece, where she worked for an International Group P&I Club before joining Bax Law in June 2024.

Evgenia holds an LLB (Hons) and an LPC (Distinction) from The University of Law, as well as an LLM (Distinction) from the University of Southampton. She also holds a BSc in Business Administration and is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (MICS), reflecting her strong engagement with the maritime industry.
